Operation Christmas Child. Each year, our church family and friends prepare shoe boxes to be distributed around the world through Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. We also serve as a collection site for other churches, groups, and individuals in our area. This is one more way we help ensure that children around the world receive the message of joy and hope in Christ.
C.H.E.W. (Children’s Hunger Elimination of Wilson). First Free Will Baptist Church is an active participant in C.H.E.W., an organization that feeds over 550 Wilson, NC students each week. We have a partnership with Margaret Hearne Elementary School, where we distribute food items to help combat hunger.
Shoes4Hope (Harvesters International). Our donated shoes are exported by Harvesters International to street vendors in places like Kenya, Nigeria, and Haiti. Funds from exporting are then used to support Harvesters’ and their partners’ missions projects around the world.
Shut-in Ministry. For our church members who cannot attend services due to long-term illness, disability, or other reasons, our Shut-In Team is dedicated to making sure our shut-ins have a weekly bulletin, worship-service DVD, and a nice visit from people who care.
